For Back to School 2022

As a part of the decision to open school on August 29, 2022, for the 2022-2023 academic school year, Hampton City Schools acknowledges that some families may have pre-arranged plans (e.g., vacations, custody-related visitations) that prevent students from attending school for one or more days during the week of August 29-September 1.

To that end, Hampton City Schools will work with all families who receive approval for a pre-arranged absence to ensure that students are not penalized either academically or from an attendance perspective (policy JED). This process is for the first week of the 2022-2023 academic year only; any other absences must follow School Board policy regarding planned absences and vacations during the year.
